Overview:
  • MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide. 
  • We have an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Business Analyst.
Job Purpose:
  • Responsible for and accountable for the successful execution of reporting strategies as well as the Accounts Receivable business strategy, customer service, and consistent compliance with MRC procedures and controls.
Responsibilities:
  • Strategize with the Director of Credit to develop reporting and customer integration needs.
  • Manage the AR tasks and aspects of customer integration projects and customer solutions.
  • Analyze key reporting needs and processes to develop improvement opportunities for the Accounts Receivable department.
  • Monitor the performance of projects post-implementation.
  • Resolve problems, correct discrepancies, and provide additional information as it relates to the quality of MRC Global AR data.
  • Support business initiatives, gain operations efficiencies, and champion process improvements as it relates to AR data management.
  • Provide guidance, planning, and direction for managing the quality of MRC Global’s AR data.
  • Assist in other development/retention activities as requested.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Assure compliance with company business processes.

Qualifications
Education, Experience & Ability Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
  • Knowledge and understanding of customer base and industries serviced; strong writing, math/analytics, business English and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to establish excellent rapport with upper management, corporate employees, branch employees, and customers using proper phone etiquette and other effective interpersonal skills.
  • Strong PC skills with knowledge in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI, also the ability to learn MRC Global specific and custom software.
  • Strong listening and communication skills; strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills to prioritize required duties and ensure timely delivery of information; detail oriented and assertive.  
  • Ability to work as part of collaborative teams.
  • Ability to contribute to the quality process by learning new procedures and functions as needed.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and respond to inquiries.
  • Ability to understand and comply with MRC guidelines and expectations, including Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
